A small country  that boasts an extraordinary ancient history. An important crossroads of the Caucasus, it faces with vigorous impetus on the international scene of the third millennium, strong of an economy in impetuous growth, of a state that is at the same time Islamic and secular, where many religions coexist peacefully and the Constitution guarantees full equality of rights between man and woman.

Its capital Baku,  hosted this year, the  second F1 Grand Prix  (last year’s race in the city was called the Grand Prix of Europe). But today, few,  still know,  that this fragment of Central Asia, has recently opened two very important cultural sites, dedicated to famous names, which have marked the history of the country.

The first cut of the ribbon, which took place last November 2017 by the Head of State, was  the inauguration of the Museum dedicated to Mirza Shafi Vazeh in Ganja, built with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The construction of the museum began in March 2016 and ended in November 2017. The two-story building has rooms for exhibitions, conferences and administrative.  Around the museum, a park dedicated to the intellectual, covers an area of two hectares and houses where  the main  statue  represents the poet.

The second important “ouvertoure”, always with the presence of President Ilham Aliyev, is represented by the new building of the State Philharmonic of the city of Ganja. A six-story building that has administrative, training, make-up, directing and recreation rooms and a canteen. The building also include a 1200-seat concert hall and a 300-seat conference hall, 11 halls, including  VIP area.

The philharmonic is also a library for selling  books. The statues of famous composers such as Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Fikrat Amirov, Gara Garayev, Niyazi and Arif Malikov are placed on the balcony on the third floor of the building.
In the outdoor area,  were also built, a special area  for outdoor summer concerts, an observation tower, an underground car park for 500 cars and a two-story gallery of two building blocks with a total surface area of 2,000 square meters.
During the construction of the Philharmonic, external works were carried out to enrich the landscape, and installed two fountains decorated with national ornaments.
